The Math and Science Tutoring Club
A friendly peer-tutoring club pertaining to all STEM subjects. Everyone is welcome, no registration or reservation necessary! If you are interested in joining as a tutor, please contact Brandon Qi.
Academic Decathlon
The DHS Academic Decathlon club competes in the United States Academic Decathlon competition, an academic competition testing competitors on 10 subjects: art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, math, music, science, social science, and speech. The specific content ties into a central topic changing each year. The 2024-2025 year theme is "Our Changing Climate." Everyone is welcome to come and compete!

DSHS Cybersecurity Club
The DSHS Cybersecurity Club aims to teach students about cybersecurity threats. Our club will participate in numerous international, nationwide, as well as local cybersecurity competitions where skills in encryption, pentesting (website vulnerabilities), log analysis, linux, virtual machines will be put to the test. Most of these competitions will be team events where members will exercise problem-solving skills useful for STEM-related careers (including programming).
Black Student Union (BSU)
The Black Student union is a club that brings together students of African Diaspora and those that want to be an ally to the black community. We speak out against harm that comes to students on campus due to racism. We focus on giving students the opportunity to be heard, and have someone advocating for them.
The Culture Club
Our club goal is to foster an environment where students can learn about various cultures and traditions across the world in an engaging way. At some meetings we will have dishes or snacks to share from different cultures, recipes, videos of ceremonies, and more. All are welcome!

CSF is a club that participates in community service and gives students opportunities to volunteer at DHS and in the community.

Teach On this Day in Music History facts, debates over which album best personifies a sub-genre, music trivia, debate over why a song was so influential, possibly go see cover bands or documentaries. It will create a community within the school for kids with similar interests and strong bonds between members.

Will set up and takw care of a small aquarium. Present about aquariums and carry out fundraisers. These acitivities will give knowlwedge, experience and opportunity to the student body.
Greenpeace
Proposed activities include Tree Davis, Friends of Frances, Adopt-a-Park, visits from scientists, ecologists, botanists, biologists, etc., hikes in local trails/parks, campus clean up's. These activities will give students the opportunity to experience nature hands on and all them to develop a deeper connection with the environment.

Global Kids Connect (GKC)
Get in contact with schools in other conutries and write them a letter which will then get sent as a picture and vice versa.
Science Olympiad
Attend competetions at other schools and in our region. Club will also host fundraisers and work with DJUSD elementary schools to spread interest in science to younger students. Students in the club have the opportunity to appply their interest in science to team competitions and bond.

Plan weekly meetings open to all students and introduce them to fiction writing, poetry and narrative nonfiction techniques as well as open sharing & feedback from any member. Have guest speakers who are established writers to give advice to the next generation of writers & thinkers.

Open gym during lunch for badminton to allow students who may not have access to time or equipment outside of school hours.
Empower Youth
Do service projects according to each awareness month that support the families at the shelter. Make awareness posters to put on the school walls to educate more students. Occasionally hold drives for supplies that are needed at the shelter which students can get service hours for.

Will not have any official club activities, we will partner with davis Youth Ultimate which will have the activites and tournaments that anyone can attend, will benefit the student body by giving people an easy entracnce to the sport.
Muslim Student Association
Bi-weekly meetings in which all students are invited and welcomed to learn about Islam and our club. Also meetings for muslim holidays can be made to share what they are and how they are celebrated.
Physics Club
Focus on the physics olympiad and give students a quiet space to study and ask questions and invite some juniors/seniors who have taken the AP Physics test for an advisory.
Bird Watching Club
Host fundraisers & participate in club fairs, and go on bird watching adventures in various nature preserves. These activites will help spread information and create a space for people interested in zoologu, ornithology, or who just like birdwatching and will benefit the school doing so.

Going to St. John's to volunteer. It gives students an opportunity to regulary volunteer and gain experience in managing/organizing events.
